19 years ago today, Meliss entered the world, no doubt a gorgeous little baby just like she is now :) I want to say she is my roommate ... but really it would be more correct to say that I'm her's, kind of.  We're not real roomies, she lives down the hall in 2119 with El.  But I practically live in their room anyway, and considering they stole the bed from the girl next door who lives alone and put it in between theres, and my crayon colored name is taped on the door, I think its okay for me to call her that.  But that's besides the point ...  Melissa sat by me in church the first Sunday we were here and we talked for a little bit about the rings we were wearing (we didn't know each other so we had to start somewhere). I obviously thought she was the cutest girl ever.  Shortly after that we exchanged facebook comments about how pretty the other was, and we decided we needed to hang out soon.  Mel was MIA for about 2 weeks and one random day I received the following comment on my wall:

So anyway, we ended up going to dinner and you could probably say it was love at second sight.  Ever since September 13th I've seen this girl almost every day and she is now one of my best friends here.  So to celebrate her birthday, here are my 10 favorite things about Melissa!

1. I know I've already said it, but she seriously is GORGEOUS

sneak peak

i went to the jason derulo/b.o.b./iyaz/auburn concert tuesday night with some friends. AMAZING concert, seriously one of the best nights since i've been here.  i have to get all the pictures from meg so for now here's just a sneak peak :)

WARNING: don't look if you get grossed out ...

Okay, first of all, I slept for 12 hours on Friday night, and I just needed to tell everyone that because usually I only sleep for 5ish ... and it was just amazing and I woke up so happy :) Oh the things sleep does for me.  Second of all, SHOUT OUT TO MY COUGARS!! Finally broke our losing streak Saturday, heaven only knows how but who cares.  Proud of my boys.

Alright now the real post ... Friday morning bright and early Brennan and I drove up to Salt Lake for his lasik eye surgery.  I can't wait for the day I finally get to do this, but after watching the whole procedure it kind of freaked me out. I know you can't feel anything, and I'll still FOR SURE get it done ASAP but still ... here are some pictures:

There was another surgeon who sat in the waiting room with me and explained everything as it was going on so the pictures make a lot more sense to me.  But basically they numbed his eyes, cut the top flap open with that nasty pick looking thing and folded it over, lasered the under part of the eyeball, and then folded the flap back.  The whole thing took about 20 minutes!  So other than a little hematoma action as seen by the second to last picture and a huge one we discovered in his other eye, B is doing well and can see! He just gets to wear those cute bug eyes and some biker sunglasses ............. I apologize to everyone who is disgusted by this, but the little nurse in me thought it was way cool so I had to post about our exciting Friday!
